October 24, 2017: Mitsubishi Recalls 161,167 Vehicles in US and Canada. Mitsubishi Motors Corp. is recalling 161,167 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada because electric relays can cause the engine to stall or overheat. The recall affects the 2015-2017 Outlander SUV, the 2015-2017 Lancer sedan and Outlander Sport, and the 2015 Lancer Evolution sport sedan. Read article: The Dallas Morning News.

October 16, 2017: Rear axle mounting flange may fracture in select C-Class Mercedes-Benz vehicles. A fractured rear axle mounting flange can cause the rear differential to become misaligned, possibly resulting in failure of the driveshaft and a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. October 16, 2017: The Center for Auto Safety Calls for Ford to Recall Explorers Over Carbon Monoxide Exposure Inside Over 1.3 Million Vehicles. A risk of Carbon Monoxide poisoning the drivers and occupants of all Ford Explorers from 2011-2017 led to the Center for Auto Safety to call for Ford to recall all 1.3 Million affected vehicles. October 11, 2017: Wildfires in Northern California have burned around 170,000 acres, 3,500 houses, and caused the deaths of 21 people. Read the story here.

August 15, 2017: Wenholz Law firm obtains $754,128 judgment for bicyclist injured by motorist in Austin. Plaintiff, Michelle Garel, was riding her bicycle on Howard Lane when Defendant, Annastasha Langston, distractedly driving her Nissan Sentra, struck and almost killed Ms. Garel. The default judgment was obtained August 15, 2017 in cause NO. D-1-GN-17-001093; filed in the 200th District Court, Travis County, Texas.
